About the Blackboard integration

Our Blackboard integration allows admins and instructors to deep-link titles from Perlego to a module/unit within a course.

When a student clicks on a Perlego link they are automatically directed to create their account and once registered will be automatically logged in, creating a seamless experience for your students.

We support the following Blackboard instances:

  • Blackboard Self-Hosted
  • Blackboard Learn (classic)
  • Blackboard Ultra

Configure your Blackboard integration

Before you start the configuration make sure:

  • Your organisation is on the Ultimate plan OR you have purchased the LMS integration as an add-on
  • You have System Admin access to your Blackboard instance.
  • You have a test course within Blackboard.
  • You have created an access link for new registrations to be sent to.

Send Perlego your deployment ID, LMS URL and default access link

Send us the Deployment ID you’ve generated and your Blackboard URL by completing our LMS set up form, so we can complete the registration.

  • You can access the deployment ID at any time by finding Perlego in the list of LTI Tool Providers.

  • Hover over the Tool Provider name and click on the chevron. Then select Edit. Untitled (21)

You’ll also need to tell us which access link your LMS users should be directed to for signing up to Perlego.

If you don’t have an access link yet you’ll need to create one in Perlego, this requires a Perlego admin login.

Check the Perlego placement

Our Blackboard integration should add the deep linking content placement automatically. Once we confirm your account has been configured, please check the placement has been created.
