Learn how to revoke and reassign subscriptions on Perlego with this step-by-step guide.
How to revoke a subscription
If one of your users no longer requires access to their Perlego subscription, for example if they have left the organisation, you have the flexibility to remove their access to the platform. Performing this action, will allow you to free up a subscription which can be used for another user to register.
- In the Manage Users Table, click on the tickbox next to the user (or users) you want to revoke, and a floating bar will appear, giving you the option to revoke the user's access:
- To confirm this action, click on the ‘Revoke’ button.
- You have the ability to select multiple users at a time, either by selecting multiple tickboxes or by filtering users by tag, status or last activity, and revoke them in bulk.
- Once the user is revoked, their status in the Subscription Manager will change from ‘Assigned’ to ‘Revoked’. This will mean that the user will no longer have access to their organisational Perlego subscription. If they wish to take out an individual paid subscription, they can do so while maintaining access to any existing notes, highlights and reading data in their accounts.
How to reassign a subscription
Revoked users can be granted access to Perlego again through the 're-assign' option in the Subscription Manager.
- To re-assign a user's access so that they can regain access to an organisational subscription under your Subscription Manager, select the same tickbox and click the ‘re-assign’ button.
- You will need to select the plan you wish to assign this user to.
- Once the subscription has been re-assigned, the user will regain access to their previous account, including all their progress such as books read, saved notes, and highlights.
Please note that:
- you will not be able to re-assign the user access if they have subsequently taken out a paid individual subscription. They will need to cancel their individual paid subscription from their account settings before you are able to re-assign their access from your Subscription Manager.
- to re-assign a subscription, you need to make sure there are enough available subscriptions in your Subscription Manager. If not, you should either revoke a subscription from another user or purchase more subscriptions.
