Manage AI features for your organisation

Learn how to enable or disable AI features for your users from Admin Settings.

The Admin Settings page gives you direct control over which AI features are available to your organisation’s users. You can turn features on or off at any time — changes take effect immediately across your whole institution, with no need to contact Perlego support.


How to access Admin settings

  1. Log in to the Perlego Subscription Manager.
  2. Select Admin settings from the left-hand navigation menu.

AI Features

The AI Features section controls which AI tools are available to your users. AI features are disabled by default — you need to turn them on before your users can access them.

Research Assistant

Research Assistant helps users explore topics through academic books, discover relevant titles, get book recommendations, and understand what’s in Perlego’s library — all in one conversational interface.

To enable or disable Research Assistant:

  1. Go to Admin settings in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Find the AI Features section.
  3. Click the toggle next to Research Assistant to switch it on or off.
  4. The change saves automatically. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen.

Note: Disabling Research Assistant will remove the feature from the Perlego reading experience for all users in your organisation immediately. If you re-enable users will retain their conversation history.
