Add domain restrictions

What is domain restriction?

Domain restriction is a feature designed to restrict and control access to Perlego by allowing only specific email domains to create accounts. This functionality allows organisations to control who can access Perlego based on their email domain. For instance, if your organisation uses email domains such as @university.ac.uk or @students.university.ac.uk, Perlego can be configured to only allow account registrations from these domains.

It’s important to note that domain restriction cannot be enabled if users are registering to Perlego using personal emails

Where possible, we always recommend setting domain restriction to your organisations email domains. There are quality assurance issues with users using personal emails, for example it can make it more difficult for you to manage users and can be problematic if you ever want to migrate to use single sign-on.

How to configure domain restrictions

Simply submit a request through this form including the email domains you wish to restrict access to. Check out this article for more information around customer support tickets. You can add as many domains as need to the domain restriction. Once this is enabled, users trying to sign-up with any other email domain, won’t be granted access.
